This original image was shot by Nicky Lowe, taken on Great Barrier Island, an island off the East Coast of New Zealand, this flax is native to Aotearoa, it is a mixed media artwork, combining a photo image with acrylic paint and texture painted over to enhance the depth of colour and the gorgeous orange hues and different textures within the leaves.
